This is the incredible encounter between a diver and a big bull shark off the coast of Jupiter, Florida. The man even managed to photograph and upload a series of photographs of the scary beast to the internet.
John Moore, a photographer and marine life enthusiast, was free-diving when the large shark was sighted. Despite the fact that the 55-year-old diver has previously encountered sharks, this was by far the largest. With other bull sharks, the pregnant female shark was looking for food near the surface.
The photographer characterised her as “an incredibly large female.” “She hadn’t skipped a meal, thus she was probably pregnant.” Throughout our dive, she was a very dominant shark, approaching me boldly.”
Moore later shared the stunning images on his Instagram account, where he routinely shares shots of sharks he encounters while diving!
“An up up and personal examination of a massive female Bull shark’s extremely impressive serrated teeth,” he wrote. “A fish had taken a piece of bait and rushed towards me for protection before getting scared and dropping the chunk. This prepared me for a shot that my 20mm lens couldn’t handle.”
Moore has a lot of shark experience, but this wasn’t the most pleasant meeting for him since bull sharks aren’t the friendliest sharks. In reality, this is the most dangerous shark species, along with great white sharks and tiger sharks. These colossi may grow up to 11 feet tall and weigh up to 1,500 pounds.
