However, as most of us are aware, things do not always go as planned.
Roy and Bernita Rogers of Kansas City, Missouri, discussed their desire to have a large family.
However, when it came to trying for a kid, things did not go as planned.
A few years into their marriage, the couple was bereaved by three preterm births. Despite their grief, they never gave up hope.
Bernita wanted to buy a cat to fill the hole of not being able to have a kid; something she could adore and focus on.
Midnight, the gorgeous black kitten, not only became an integral member of the family, but also heralded the beginning of something fantastic.
Bernita became pregnant shortly after the couple brought Midnight home and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.
Stacey, their infant girl, and Midnight became fast friends, and the cat became her biggest defender.
When their adorable baby girl started acting strange, they went her to the doctor, who assured them it was nothing to worry about because it was only a cold.
When Roy and Bernita got home, they placed their baby to sleep, knowing that the baby monitor was on and Midnight was nearby.
But then they heard the most strange screaming on the monitor.
“It was this screech-wail-scream-cry. “I jumped out of my chair and ran upstairs,” Bernita explained.
The frightened parents entered their daughter’s room and discovered Stacey struggling to breathe.
Stacey’s skin had begun to turn blue, so they hurried her to the ER, where they were informed that their baby had died of respiratory failure.
She began to heal with treatment, but who knows what would have occurred if they had left her any longer.
Thankfully, Midnight warned them in time. Black cats are great, but some people avoid them. This superhero cat deserves a hearty cuddle and a special treat.
Animals feel things humans don’t, and my cat is no exception.
When I’m sick, he stays near to me, and when I’m down, he’ll come and lay on my chest, stroke my face, and give me the most loving look.
Many people believe that cats are unintelligent. Cats are extremely intelligent. That was a touching story.
